Keepin it Cool..

Have you seen these three guys staring down at you as your driving north on I-15, thought it was kinda creepy and wondered why? Don't worry next month there will be something up there along the lines of..
KEEPIN IT COOL SINCE THE 80'S
SALMON HVAC

This is just there way of catching your attention. Did it work?
Anyway.. all three of these boys are so different, and I love them all the same. People ask me if I liked growing up being the only girl. I loved it, I loved telling people I had three older brothers. I loved being the protected little sister.
They are some of the funniest people I know.
They are some of the best husbands and fathers I know.
They are some of the most devoted people to gospel I know.
They married women I would call some of my best friends and couldn't have picked better myself.
I think its a rare occurrence that families hang out as much as we do. And truly enjoy being in each others company.
Thank you for your friendship.

BTW.. if your furnace of air conditioner is needin' some love.. you know who to call. They'll take care of ya.

That "certain one"

This week I saw Mason smile that "certain smile". I see him smile a lot but this smile if very distinct. I havn't seen this specific one for months. I only see this smile when the weather permits. After 6 long months he dusted it off, gassed it up, and rode off into the sunset in pure ecstasy.

Par-tay

We had a little get-together for Cash's B-day, but when both families are invited it turns out its not so little. But it was fun to have everyone over to celebrate, the more the merrier.
Grandparents: 4
Aunts and Uncles: 13
Cousins: 16
Two parents, and the birthday boy.

Birds eye view

Amy won't admit it but she made 90% of this cake.
One small mishap.. As we were singing happy birthday, Cash decided to grab the flame because his misfit mother wasn't watching.

Rinsing his poor finger in cold water.

No worries, with a mouth full of cake the dramatic experience was long forgotten.

Birthday Boy

Today my little man turned one. I was trying to think of some long, sentimental post I could do, but nothing is coming to mind. So all I can say is Cash has brought so much joy, and happiness into our home. I know you mom's out there know what i'm talking about when you have those moments when you look are your child, and wonder how you got so lucky to love someone so much. And even luckier that they love you back. Anyway.. happy birthday buddy.

Viva

Last weekend we enjoyed a Perfect weekend in Vegas. The concrete convention was being held.. so it was a great excuse for me to tag along. While mason was busy..doing what ever he was doing, I had a great time browsing the shops, reading, taking a bath as long as I wanted on my own time. It was awesome. And when he wasn't busy, we ate at some fun restaurants, saw LOVE at the mirage, and shopped some more. And no Mason did not win $1,ooo gambling.. why do you ask...? It was a great weekend.

Time Wasted

There was a day when I felt like I was wasting time.

I felt like my days were filled with things that didn’t bring much fulfillment or accomplishment. TV, computer... you know, those mind numbing activities.

Then I decided it was time to make a change.

It was time to start some things I have wanted to do, but had put on the back burner, to do some things that bring a little more enjoyment and fulfillment.

So I summoned my inner Martha Stewart, my Paula Deen, and my deeply burried Jane Austin.

So I finished painting and recovering this lamp.

I learned to sew this apron from the Domestic Queen. (My Mom)

And started cooking recipes from currently my favorite cookbook.

Along with reading some books i’ve been meaning to dip into instead of watching TV, or listening to conference talks or Podcasts like “This American Life” instead of the radio.

I Don't Want To Forget..

How much this boy loves his bath...

The day he drug the broom around all day.. (I'm not kidding, all day)

How excited he gets when his dad gets home..
